My earliest Packer memory is of my dad and uncles avidly watching the game on our black and white TV in the era of Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr as quarterback and all of the beloved Packer icons. He would literally come out of his chair to help the running back or wide receiver! My mother tells the story of me crying, because he actually scared me! I knew my downs and yards to go by age 8. Growing up in the 50’s in a neighborhood full of boys in my “play clothes” (girls had to wear dresses for school, church etc.) I participated in many a flag football team where we all chose our favorite players. It was like “The Sand Lot” movie (one of my absolute favorites) except with football.
